Kosarom is the first company in the Romanian food industry to be privatized in 1992 through the Gouvermental Pilot privatization Program in colaboration with European Institutions. It is part of Kosarom Holding, which includes four other companies, that work together in an integrated system. The cereales produced at Agricola Tg. Frumos are raw material for the two compound fodder factories that provide food for the Avitop's chickens and Suinprod's pigs. Kosarom provides its raw material from its own sources starting with the fodder for the animals, respencting the principle Safe feed- Safe food.

• The tunrover is on a constant and safe growth, only in 2008 registering 30 mil Euro.
• Total investment volume 2005 - 2008: 30 mil. Euro.
• Production capacity: slaughtering 700 pigs/day, carveing 40 tones/day, prepared meat 50 tones/day.

• LAREX CERT Certification for all manufactured food products. Safety management system.
• ISO 22000: 2005. This standard sets requirements for food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control hazards, in order to ensure that food is safe for human consumption. Kosarom is the first company in Romania and among the top ten in Europe that have certified Food Safety Management System ISO 22000.
